From one Jessie May to another! Swindon student Jessie May dropped in to our Swindon office to present £150 to our nurses, raised through a sponsored walk she did with her boyfriend.

Our Swindon team were so pleased to meet 16 year old Jessie May when she visited the Fig Offices with the funds she raised with her boyfriend Toby Antal, through a sponsored walk along part of the Ridgeway National Trail.

Our Swindon and Wiltshire Fundraising Officer Debbie Clark said: “It was a lovely surprise to have Jessie May visit our Swindon office with her mum Margaret. What a fitting name for a Jessie May supporter too! She is actually one of the NCS students that has attended one of the sessions in Swindon New College where Jessie May have been presenting over the last few weeks.

“While her team didn’t choose Jessie May as their charity, Jessie May said she was so touched by the work we do she wanted to hold her own fundraising session for us. She came in to the office to tell us this wonderful news, and met one of the Jessie May nurses Annette, who was pleased to be able to thank her in person.

“One of Jessie May’s friends has had a poorly sibling, so she understands the stress and worry that families are under with a very sick child.

“We are all so touched by her generosity and for choosing to support our charity independently. Huge thanks to Jessie May and her boyfriend – and everyone who has supported their fundraising by making a donation!”
