The World Championship Snooker 2018 title sponsor Betfred will donate £200 to Jessie May for every century break made during the 17 days of this year’s tournament.
The Betfred World Championship runs from April 21st to May 7th, with 32 of the world’s best players competing for the title. Hosted at the infamous Cruicible Theatre in Sheffield the tournament is snooker’s most important event, and one of the highlights of the sporting calendar.
Every break of 100 or over will mean £200 for Jessie May, which is World Snooker’s official charity. And if the century count reaches 75, the donation will be rounded up to a massive £25,000.
Betfred boss Fred Done said: “We’re delighted to make this donation to a fantastic cause in Jessie May. It’s going to be a fabulous 17 days of action at the Crucible and I can’t wait for it to start. Hopefully the players will be knocking in the centuries and I’d love to see the target of 75 reached.”
The World Championship marks the end of another fantastic season being supported by World Snooker, whose office is based on Whiteladies Road. To find out more about our relationship with World Snooker click here.
