Meet Handy The Mascot
Come and meet Handy, our new mascot who will be flying the Jessie May flag in and around Bristol to help us raise awareness & funds!

Handy started off his journey at St. Bede’s Catholic School where he was introduced to Fergus Bradford the pupil that submitted the winning design in last year’s competition. Fergus' house has now chosen to support Jessie May as their charity of the year and so Handy will be seen popping up throughout the rest of the school year at their fundraising events!
Handy was introduced to families and children on the Jessie May caseload at the Christmas Party back in November. Handy was spotted bouncing around the car park, excitedly waiting for all the children to arrive at the party and later on during the afternoon he was spotted jigging about on the dancefloor with our guests!
He's also been busy helping to raise funds and awareness for Jessie May with 6th form pupils from the The Ridings Federation: Winterbourne International Academy at the Willow Brook Centre in Bradley Stoke. The 6th formers and Handy raised £283.85 for Jessie May that day - a very big well done and THANK YOU!

Handy also enjoyed his time at the Matalan store in Brislington, Bristol where he was helping to promote various fund-raising activities by staff and customers there!
Keep an eye out and you may spot him at a fundraising event near you. If you'd like Handy to attend a fundraising event you are holding in aid of Jessie May please get in touch with us, or if you would like him to come to your school assembly then contact the fundraising team on 0117 961 6840 orfundraising@jessiemaytrust.org.uk
