A Royal Visit

On 31st January Jessie May Trust Fundraiser Fiona Foster was invited to meet with HRH The Duchess of Cornwall when she officially opened St John’s Foundation’s newly modernised almshouse, Rosenberg House.

St John’s Foundation recently pledged three years of funding to Jessie May to support our work in Bath & North East Somerset. Fiona was invited, alongside several other charities, to talk with the Duchess about how Jessie May helps families in this area. St John’s Foundation support a huge number of important community projects in Bath & North East Somerset, so were delighted to have been invited to visit!

Fiona says, “It was such a privilege to be invited to attend this very special day for St John’s Foundation.  The Foundation has been incredibly supportive of the work of Jessie May’s Hospice at Home Service in Bath and North East Somerset since it launched in 2014. HRH The Duchess of Cornwall was very interested to hear of the palliative care support we are providing local terminally ill children given her role as the Foundation’s Patron.”

St John’s Foundation recently re-launched their website, where you can read about the work they do www.stjohnsbath.org.uk/, and you can read about how they are helping Jessie May here.

Jessie May will be visiting St John’s again in March as part of our 21st Anniversary celebrations. We’re welcoming the whole community in Bath to drop in and see us at the Bubble on March 23rd from 11am-2.30pm.
